Norman Bates, AKA Inti Calfat and Dirk Verheye, are an international directing duo based in Brussels. They combine their fiction career with commercial film projects.

 

Inti & Dirk have created a very organic and genuine aesthetic in their work. Their music videos and commercials have won different awards such as: the New York Independent Film festival, The European Film Festival, Eurobest, Spikes Asia Award, Merit Awards, Ad Stars, Music Industry Awards and The Crystal Film awards. They have shot global commercial campaigns for clients including Coca Cola, European Parliament, HTC, Mazda, Mercedes, Renault, Samsonite, Uniqlo and many others.

 

Norman Bates has a strong eye for detail and a borderline-neurotic commitment to tell stories. In 2017 they shot their first fiction series called ‘Over Water’ for Belgian Networks. The series has already picked up international distribution and Dirk and INti helmed the four first episodes of the second season. IN 2019 they directed 'Into The Night' for Netflix. Norman Bates are currently developing their first feature film 'Rumors'.
